How lovely to have received this letter last week, telling us the difference we helped to make to kids in the local area at Christmas. The best bits in an excerpt from the letter below:-
"These are children who, without your help (and the help of our supporters), would not have had a present to open on Christmas day. These are children and teenagers who live in families facing financial hardship and are experiencing fuel and food poverty, families who have fled domestic violence, families who have fled war torn countries with absolutely nothing but the clothes on their back."
This is a thank you we had from a school this week:
"I just wanted to thank you for the gifts that we were able to distribute to children. One child has not stopped talking about his presents!
Again, many thanks"
And another via a social worker:
"Dear Cash for Kids I would just want to say a huge THANK YOU for saving Christmas for us this year. We have been struggling to exist as our benefits have been all messed up leaving us nothing to buy Christmas presents this year. We were completely bowled over with the extravagant gifts we received for our 3 young children and they got more than one present each. We felt so inadequate and failures as parents not being able to provide ourselves. So thank you everyone for responding to the appeal and helping restore our dignity. We were so grateful and you blessed our socks off!
S and C"
Although we may not be able to change the whole world, we can change a small part of our world and give a child a magical day and put smiles on faces – you helped us to do this.
